Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber on May 14th 1964. She was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to a Jewish family. The age she is now at is 58. Sandra Kolber is her mother and Gene Kolber is her father. Her graduation was in 1982 at Upper Dublin High School and Sandy Run Middle School. In 1986, she received a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on telecommunications from the University of Miami. She landed a job as a sports director at Dynamic Cable located in Coral Gables Florida while she was still an undergraduate college student. She was also employed with Dynamic Cable for two years, from 1984 to 1986. The time was when she was also a part of the water ski team at the University of Miami. Plaza started her career in Wilmington doing local theater, performing in Improv and also acting in plays. Following high school, she relocated towards New York City where she attended improv courses at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and trained in television and film production at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in the year 2006. A stroke caused her to be diagnosed with temporary paraphasic expressive disorder in her 20s. old.
